Great listener - our fundraising calls are a two way conversation, not a scripted monologue. Listening and adapting to the information being shared by the supporter means better engagement and more positive outcomes.

Self belief - a great fundraiser believes in themself and the mission. With their purpose to engage with the supporters, the fundraiser must speak with conviction and belief in the cause and themselves. 

Commitment - fundraising can be extremely challenging at times. Rejection can erode morale and that is when our fundraising team need to draw on their experience and commitment and lean on their teammates and coaches for support. Our shared purpose keeps us driving forwards.

Authenticity – being our authentic selves is essential when speaking to members of the public. The supporter must believe the message we are delivering, feeling inspired to take action and pledge their support for the cause.

Positivity – we aim for work to be fun too! At GiveTel we try and ensure a positive and supportive environment for our fundraisers, but we also look for a positive attitude in new applicants from day 1. Positivity is infectious, and spreads within the team as well as translating over the phone and ensuring all our conversations leave a positive impression.

FOUNDER & CEO

Martyn's background in direct marketing, advertising, and fundraising on both charity and agency-side provides him with a unique perspective on the challenges of creating effective fundraising communications, managing budgets, and delivering a quality service to our clients. He's been leading the GiveTel team for over twelve years now and believes the role of phone in supporter engagement and in the fundraising mix has never been more important than it is today.

Carter

HEAD OF coachING AND DEVELOPMENT

As well as being a highly accomplished musician, Carter has also been leading our coaching and development team for the past ten years and during that time has molded many hundreds of new recruits into successful fundraisers. He and his team nurture and support our fundraisers to allow them time to grow and flourish in their roles. The skills they are given ensure that they can focus on forming a genuine connection with the charity supporters they speak to, and ensure that they make every call count. 

 
 

Anto

HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Anto brings many years of charity fundraising experience to the team, having managed nationwide face to face fundraising operations in Spain, as well as having worked at Taronga, The Smith Family and Heart Research Institute before joining GiveTel. As well as a passionate fundraiser, Anto is also a talented actor of stage and screen.

 
 

Amy

COACHING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Amy joined GiveTel as a fundraiser back in 2017 and has proven herself to be an indispensable member of the team. So much so that she now leads the entire fundraising team of 70 callers and coaches! Originally from Ireland, Amy combines humour with a natural warmth and empathy to ensure the wellbeing of our fundraising team comes first, and that great quality calls follow as a result.

 
 
 

Jesse

OPERATIONS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Jesse began his journey with GiveTel as a fundraiser and quickly graduated up through the ranks of the Operations team. His thirst for learning took him in the direction of coding, and he has an innate ability to identify opportunities to streamline and automate legacy processes in order to improve workflows and productivity. As well as being an indispensable member of the GiveTel team, he’s also a talented musician and all-round awesome bloke!
